Then I tried filigree, this pendant came out fine, although have learnt lots, and would change a couple of things, and it is not very centred, but good for a first attempt.
I have always loved earrings, I used to make them as a teenager, and then let it slide while I tried to find what I wanted to do with my life. Always on the sideline, I would be sewing, making clothes, then Teddy bears, then 3 or 4 years ago, my sister took me to a beading class. Well, I fell in love with making jewellery, and made her tiara, and did the embroidery on her wedding dress. I loved making bead jewellery, but just kept wanting to do more and more, until I got lucky enough to find someone willing to teach me metalsmithing. I felt like I had finally found what I was made to do. And I am still so passionate about it, I hope to make this my full time job, not just a hobby. I want this blog to be the story of how I get there.

I've been wanting to try filigree too. But I need to first ease back into soldering. :) I love Carnelian!!
